There are many opportunities available for you to help out with the Kalamazoo Valley Genealogical Society.  Below are some of the areas where you can put your talents to use:

  Leadership Opportunities
Member of the Board of Directors
  Chairperson or member of one of the many KVGS Committees
  Teaching Opportunities
If you have knowledge on a particular subject that could help out fellow genealogists, there are several forums where you can share your knowledge:
  A presenter at one of our monthly General Meetings.
  A presenter at one of our monthly mini-classes held just prior to our General Meeting.
  Help others with their "brick walls" at our Genealogy Saturday conferences.
  Special Projects
Become a member of the Special Projects team and help make available to the public the many Historical Records that are waiting to be discovered.
  Other Opportunities
Help members and guests with their "brick walls" on Genealogy Saturday, or any other time for that matter.
Mentor other genealogists in an area of research that you are knowledgeable in by participating in our Mentoring Program.
Greet members and guests during any of the public functions.
Help with the monthly Heritage newsletter by contributing articles or be a proofreader.

You can also volunteer to aid fellow researchers by helping them look up vital records information at the Kalamazoo County Clerks office.
