Board Officers, Volunteers & Committees

The Kalamazoo Valley Genealogical Society is a volunteer organization that relies on the participation of its members. Member involvement is essential in governing and operating the Society. The Board of Directors is the Society's administrative body, and the members of the Society elect its officers. The Board operates according to the responsibilities and powers assigned to it by the Society's Bylaws, with a fiscal year of July 1 through June 30. As an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, the Board has certain fiduciary and legal obligations. The success of the Society requires a Board of Directors that understands the order of business, the duties of each officer, and the role of the Society's committees.

Kalamazoo Valley Genealogical Society's elected officers are the following:
  • President
  • Vice President

  • Treasurer

The President, Secretary, and Trustee are elected in even years, and Vice President, Treasurer, and Trustee are elected in odd years.
