Researching African American Ancestors can be both a tremendous struggle and a tremendously rewarding experience. Ms. Trotter's presentation offers helpful resources, tips, and pitfalls to avoid.

Please join us on March 17 at 7:00 pm for our March general meeting. Immediately following the business meeting, Derek Blount, Owner of Lost Branches, LLC, will present "Peter Robinson Settlements, a British/Canadian Experiment."
 
In 1824 and 1825, destitute Irish families were brought to Upper Canada as a government-funded experiment. In his presentation, Derek Blount will explore how the plan was developed and executed, its purpose, and whether it was successful. He will also discuss where to find passenger lists, follow-up documents, and other records about the plan and its execution.
